Deep Web/Dark Web
What is it?
The Deep Web is the portion of World Wide Web content that is not indexed by standard search engines.
How big is it?
It is impossible to measure, and hard to put estimates on, the size of the deep web because the majority of the information is hidden or locked inside databases. Early estimates suggested that the deep web is 400 to 550 times larger than the surface web. However, since more information and sites are always being added, it can be assumed that the deep web is growing exponentially at a rate that cannot be quantified.
How to access it?
I will outline the way I figured out to be the safest way to get inside the deep web:
- Get a VPN
- Download TOR
- Look at this site for an index of webpages to view: http://deepweblinks.org/
1) Get a VPN
This is the service I have been using for over 2 years. This company does not keep logs on your activity and anonymously connects you to their servers. I mostly use this service to download torrent content and it is also useful when I travel abroad and want a US IP address.
This is going to be helpful when trying to be super anonymous on the internet.
2) Download TOR
This is the web browser used to access Deep Web content and regular internet content. The advantage of this web browser is that all users share their IP addresses and each user can jump around different IP address making it difficult to pinpoint your location.
3) Deep Web links
